After all we all hate them 😀 Well, if you own a nexus or a play edition device (even near-to-stock android devices like moto g, e and x will do), then there’s a way to block all those annoying calls and SMS. And the best part is – you don’t have to install any third party app to get this done! I’ll show you how…
Blocking a number –
Step 1 – Save the number you want to block . Name it anything you want, like – Spam/Blocked/Don’t pick/DND
Step 2 – Now tap the ‘3 dot menu option’ that appears when you open the contact in your ‘contacts app’. Check ‘All Calls To Voicemail’ option. That’s it. The number is blocked now. In case another number bothers you, save that number under the same contact name – Blocked!
Blocking an SMS –
This requires you to make “hangouts” your default SMS app. Now follow these steps –
Step 1 – Open the message you want to block in the hangouts app.
Step 2 – Now tap the ‘3 dot menu’ and under the ‘people and options’ menu, select block. That’s it.
