Is your high quality content struggling to attract impressive number of tweets, likes and mentions on the social media world? Try Viral Content Bee now! An incredibly free service targeted to lift high quality content up on the two major social media networks – Facebook and Twitter [UPDATE: Now they have included Pinterest too]
This is not a biased review. I have used VCB for over a year and I’m highly impressed by the results I have achieved for my website, which otherwise could never have been achieved!

How does viral content bee works ?

viral content buzz beeThe concept is pretty simple. You earn credits (or points) on sharing other people’s high quality articles. Later on, you can use those credits to create your own project for sharing. Sounds interesting! Right ?
Before your project gets approved for sharing on the vcb dashboard, it undergoes a strict quality test by their editorial staff. Obviously, It’s not a duck soup for spammers and low quality writers!

Here’s a short video that walks you through what it is all about…

What type of content should be shared on viral content bee ?

Not just about any type of content can go viral on social media platforms. If you want your content to go viral, try sharing unique (an idea which no one has previously covered) and insightful (visually appealing with full of examples) articles. These types of articles are capable of attracting maximum number of tweets, retweets and likes; thus creating the REAL BUZZ!

Things I liked about viral content bee

  1. It’s free!
  2. Good support (got my query resolved in a day)
  3. It’s clean and absolutely safe to use (No unauthorized sharing on behalf of your social media profiles)
  4. An eye catchy title can attract free referral traffic right from the vcb dashboard.

Things I disliked about viral content bee

  1. Currently they support sharing only via Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest (Google Plus integration is still awaited). Secondly, I’m not happy with how the content is being shared on Pinterest – a user with even 1 follower is allowed to share a content for 4 credits (that’s the credit amount set for a twitter user with 10k-50k followers & for a Facebook user with 1k-2.5k friends) Why such a big disparity?
  2. You need to have a certain number of Twitter followers (>=100) and Facebook friends (>=250) before you can start sharing other people’s articles.

Final words:

Since it’s been founded by Ann Smarty (the owner of the incredibly successful –MyBlogGuest) & Gerald Weber (founder of SEM Group), this project sounds to be quite promising with good credibility. If your blog is new and you are looking for free social media promotion for your high quality content, then viral content bee is your way to go!

  1. Still new to Viral Content Bee, and just submitted my first post for sharing after getting 30 credits.

Hope it will give me article good exposure.

Thank you for this review! And also to the creators of this platform.

I was recommended when I followed an experienced blogger’s post on how to increase traffic for a new blog.

    • Thanks for your comment, Bee Lian Low. I wish you all the best with VCB. Let me know well does it work for you 🙂

  2. I have launched a similar platform ( lnksocial.com ) but have addressed the problems that you are talking about here like:

    1) allowing to share on google+
    2) not allowing Pinterest share with low followers
    3) separate number of points when sharing on FB wall and FB page. Because with latest FB update, pages with a huge number of followers tend to get better exposure. And when something is shared on wall it gets more exposure.

Let me know what you think about that.

  3. loving viral content buzz, just got on last week. I’ve found only one person that deleted my content after sharing. Ann dealt with the situation quickly. So far so great

    • Hi Paz. Thanks for leaving your comment. I’ve had similar experiences (especially on Facebook sharing). Some people do this when they do not like to share the content, and are still in a desperate need to add credits for their own projects.

  4. Well, this site is a wonderful tool to promote your content and drive traffic to your website. I used it before and I got decent traffic to my persoanl blog. I’m waiting for them to integrate Google+ button, so I can get more points. Thanks for the nice review!
    Cheers!

    • Thanks for your comment Gabriel!
I’m also very excited to see the integration of G+ buttons. Looks like they are having trouble integrating g+ because of its API 🙁 (this is what Ann replied on G+ :))

  5. I agree, it’s a cool concept. But what about those people who share your articles for earning credits and then later on delete those shared posts? I found this petty practice so annoying that i ended up quitting viral content buzz. I hope that they look into this loophole and propose a good workaround ASAP!

    Regards
    Daniel (London, UK)

    • In that case we refund your credit and ban those people. But even if a few people may have reasons to do that, you’ll still get traffic from their fresh shares (even if will be deleted later)
